Windows Reinstall and Windows 11 Upgrade in Perth

A clean Windows reinstall wipes the system and starts again with a fresh copy of Windows 10 or 11. Everything that has built up over the years goes with it: leftover programs, broken settings, damaged system files and anything malicious hiding among them. Your files come through it untouched. We back up your documents, photos, desktop and downloads before the reinstall and put them back afterwards, then install the latest updates and drivers so the computer is ready to use. Most reinstalls are done the same day.

Windows reactivates itself on most computers after a reinstall, since the licence is tied to the computer rather than to the old copy of Windows. If yours needs a key, we sort that out as part of the job.

A computer that powers on but never reaches the desktop has usually lost part of what Windows needs to start. The common causes are an update that was interrupted, a power cut or forced shutdown at the wrong moment, a driver that fails at startup, or a drive that has started to fail.

That last one is the reason we check the hardware before touching Windows. If the drive is failing, a reinstall only lasts until it fails again, so the drive gets replaced first and your files moved across. If the hardware is healthy, we repair Windows in place where we can, which keeps every program and setting, and reinstall it only when repair is not enough. Windows updates matter, since most of them close security holes. When one fails, Windows usually tries it again at the next restart, fails again, and rolls back, sometimes every day. Meanwhile the computer is missing every fix that came after it.

A stuck update is often caused by a damaged update store, not enough free space, a driver that is out of date, or a drive that is starting to fail. We find which one, clear it, and get the computer fully up to date, so later updates install normally. If an update broke something that used to work, we fix that too.

Not every Windows problem needs a fresh start. Damaged system files, a broken user profile or a driver that no longer suits the computer can often be repaired in place, and that keeps every program, setting and saved password exactly where it was.

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 in October 2025. It still works, but it no longer gets security fixes on most computers, and each month that passes it becomes a little easier to attack. Banks, browsers and programs stop supporting it over time too.

Windows 11 needs a reasonably recent processor, a security chip called TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, at least 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage. Most computers bought from around 2018 onwards meet these. Many that fail the check only need a setting switched on in the computer's firmware, which we do as part of the upgrade.

Some older computers genuinely cannot meet them. Windows 11 can sometimes be forced onto them, but Microsoft does not promise updates for those machines, and we will not sell you an upgrade that leaves you worse off.
